The Overalls

These are some very special overalls Felicity is wearing. They were worn originally by my mother, her brother, then me and my brothers, our cousins and their kids, and now my brothers' kids and Felicity. When each child is 6 months to 1 year they get sent "the" overalls to wear.

Can You Get It?

Felicity tries to reach for a favortie toy. She is pretty excited about it. Guess what the toy is? A piece of green plastic. It is the free toys that are the favorites-water bottles and clothespins

Getting Pretty

I really can't believe I am putting this picture on my blog. Brent made us pose for it this morning while we were getting ready because he thought we were so cute, hence the bath towel for Felicity and the curlers for me.

Aida Visit

Felicity's Grandma came for a visit this weekend to see the baptism. She babysat on Saturday night so that Brent and I could go to an art class. We both painted landscapes. Felicity and Aida had a great time, except at bedtime. I have to work on getting Felicity to fall asleep without her mommy around.

Real Crawling

Here some real crawling footage. She takes a few breaks to do what looks like swimming on the floor! It amazes me that she can already crawl so well on a slippery floor. At first she could only crawl on carpet. I will really have to watch her now.

Baptism

Felicity was baptised this Sunday! She didn't cry when the pastor took her and she was calm when the water was on her head. We were really encouraged and challenged by the message of our responsibility as parents and God's covenant love for her.

Official Crawling

Felicity officially started crawling yesterday. She made it across the room in about 3-5 minutes. My easy life appears to be over.

Grapefruit

Felicity eats grapefruit for the first time. The first bite she made an even more terrible face. I will video when I give her pickles for the first time too. And yet, she kept eating more.

Bath Time

Felicity loves bathtime-except getting out into the cold. I try to wrap her up fast, but it is never quite fast enough. This picture was taken right before an accidental dunk. I guess it is good prep for her baptism this Sunday. I got the idea for using a rubbermaid container from a friend. It works so much better than the big tub-safer and less water used.

Fun for Mommy

I admit I have fun seeing what I can put Felicity in and then push her around in it.

The Eating Adventure

Eating is always an adventure to see where food will end up. Usually most is not in the mouth.

Amber's Birthday

Today was my birthday. Actually, it was warm enough for Felicity to just wear a onsie for the first time in a long time-yea, warm weather! (this bundled up picture is from a month ago).

Piano

Today and most days we played the piano. We make beautiful music and sing too. She thought me singing "Go Down Moses" in a funny voice was interesting.

Daily Game

We try to play a new game every day. This day it was trying on different hats. Tomorrow it will probably be banging on pots and pans.

First Separation

I went on a women's retreat for the weekend, and Brent took care of Felicity. She went on a hunger strike and survived mainly on cherios and a few cans of baby food. Brent told me I can't leave again till she is done nursing. She was happy when I got home as you can see.

Great Grandpa

97 year-old great-grandpa holding 7 month-old Felicity. Pretty cool. It's Brent's Dad's Dad.

Basketball

We were shooting hoops and Felicity just laughed so loud each time I took a shot. Of course, once we got the camera to video her, she only laughed a little. Figures.

The Baby Model

I found an add on Craigslist that someone was looking for baby's to model for her new photography website. So Felicity went as a model. here is one of my favorites. She also took some hilarious pictures of her in a teacup and a bathtub-kind of Anne Geddes style. I bonked her in the head taking of her shirt right before the pictures so she has a lovely red dot on her head courtesy of her mom.
