Marbles Children's Museum

We went to Raleigh for the weekend and hit 4 museums (art, history, science, and children). Here is Fay with her second cousin "shopping" at the children's museum. I used to love children's museums as a child. I think Felicity loved feeling like a grown up.

Baking

Just found this great resource. It is like a library for toys. You check out 3 toys for 3 weeks. Membership is free. So I let Felicity pick out 2 things and I picked 1. She picked the baker outfit and the store you see in the picture. I picked a 3D human anatomy puzzle for kids, but neither Brent nor I could do the whole thing. She is so cute in the baker outfit.

Snow Days

We went outside twice yesterday, none today. It takes too long to get all the clothes on, then it seems the kids are pretty miserable pretty fast. Oh well. Henry liked the "sledding" on a trashcan top pulled by Brent. No hills here.

A picture from Thanksgiving. Just got back from my night away Christmas present from Brent. It was awesome and refreshing.

Christmas party

Felicity shows off gloves that she put on by herself! (It only took her about 5 minutes).

On cold days, we sometimes play in the garage. Felicity can ride her bike now, and Henry can ride the power wheels (as you can see, he can press the button pretty well).

Exploring

Henry has amazed me these last two days. He goes through a big box of letters and picks out the 2 lower case "t"s and carries them arround. It is pretty amazing that he can find them and identify them and match them. Then he will say "t" over and over again. He also signs over 10 words now: fish, elephant, cat, moon, fan, light, bird, bye and some I am forgetting. And he still says duck, dad, mama, and dog. He loves to be outside. While I am raking, he makes a beeline for wherever I am raking and tries to walk though the pile of leaves. He gets upset with me if I stop reading to him when we are reading.
